Manifestation for the Patroness of Basketball
On Saturday, September 14, 2019, in an atmosphere of celebration and friendship, many athletes from various regionsi showed their devotion to the future Patroness of Basketball. The gathering in Piazza della Libertà in Porretta Terme saw the greeting of Mayor Giuseppe Nanni and the start of the procession to the shrine of Our Lady of the Bridge.
About 150 athletes from both Basketball and various disciplines gathered in front of the shrine for a moment of devotion and entrustment to Our Lady of Basketball. This was followed by numerous challenges characterized by competitiveness and friendship by the basketball clubs present.
The participating clubs, under the auspices of the regional FIP Emilia Romagna and CONI regional Emilia Romagna were Giardini Margherita Bologna, Bottegone Pistoia, Basket Cavezzo, Florence Florence, Pol. Trottola Porretta Terme.
