Prayer at the Shrine in memory of the victims of the accident in which Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna also lost their lives
On Saturday, Feb. 1 in the evening, a group of friends of the Italian Sports Center together with Don Lino Civerra gathered at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Bridge, patroness of Basketball. During the celebration of the Holy Mass, the tragic accident and disappearance of Kobe, his daughter and others was remembered.
Their memory, made us feel even more united in prayer to their families, because sport creates union and friendship. “My girls and I,” Kobe’s wife Vanessa wrote on Instagram, “want to thank the millions of people who showed support and love during this horrible time. Thank you for all the prayers. We definitely need them.” We, too, wanted to remember them by relying on our Heavenly Mother.
